July Progress Report – 2nd Quarter Results

May Progress Report and $883 in Monthly Savings

Every couple of months I check up on my 2014 Goals to see how I’m doing.  My main goals where to reduce expenses and save to fund our 2015 emergency fund. Reduce Expenses So far we’ve been able to reduce our cell phone bill, car insurance, landscaping and groceries for a total reduction of $363/month. Looking Ahead to 2014

Last week I wrote about Lessons Learned in 2013 and how this year we plan to continue finding ways to save money by reducing our expenses.  This will help us payoff our credit card debt sooner and build a healthier emergency fund. I’ve learned through the years that I stay more motivated when I have an established plan and setup some goals for myself.  So, now that I actually took the plunge to start this blog it’s time to focus on what I really want to accomplish here.  Hopefully, I will gain readers along the way and this will also inform them what this site is all about.
